Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction is an itinerant exhibition of video, painting, performance and installation composed of artists from four nations, showing in the cities where each participating artist lives or works. Over the span of a year the show will take to the road: Berlin, Rome, London, New York City, Mexico City and San Francisco, mixing it up in each city and inviting local talent as guest curators and guest artists at each leg of the journey.

Secret Project Robot Wednesdays at Gallery MC in collaboration with Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction continue featuring Christy Singleton's video and music performance All the Joy, Desire and Rage II with  composer Duke B on the baby grand and DJ Poodlecannon's Big Global Mix set, all courtesy of musician/artist/curator Eli Lehrhoff in collaboration with Secret Project Robot.

If the music alone weren't enough...there is also a wine tasting by the amazing Ardesia, who will be presenting a Sparkling Rosé from Charles Lafitte (France NV), a 2011 Dry Riesling from Ravines (Finger Lakes, New York) and a 2011 Clot D'Encis, "Vi Negre" from Agricola Sant Josep (Terra Alta, Spain DO)
with antipasti provided by Il Melograno and Il Baretto!

"Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction" is a traveling exhibition of video, installation and painting composed of Alessia Armeni, Mario Consiglio, Francesca Romana Pinzari, Pernette Scholte and Lisa Wade. The project is in constant evolution and functions as a platform bridging music/performance/video and art.

SSSOC invites active collaborations in each of its destinations: Berlin, Rome, London, NY, Mexico City and San Francisco. The SSSOC NY show features guest curator Eli Lehrhoff of Secret Project Robot's Wednesday performance series as well as painters Brian Novatny and Nicole Wittenberg as guest artists.

March 6: Secret Project Robot Wednesday featuring noise and video performance by Nick Lesley next-level sounds from Pat Noecker, composed works for bells, balloons, and saw by Pat Spadine and a collective improvisation from all three. Curated by Eli Lehrhoff in collaboration with Secret Project Robot with special Art925 jewelry trunk sale, catered by Casalulla.

Please bear with the updating of the site as we are preparing an exciting line-up of artists and collateral music/video/and performance events each week within Gallery MC for the duration of the exhibition. Sing Sweet Songs of Conviction is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Armory show, so stay tuned for special events at MC that week, as well as other events in numerous pop-ups in the neighborhood, otherwise known as Destination 52nd Street.



An evolving expression of conviction sung by emerging artists throughout the world. 
Hummed harmonies will hypnotize each participating artists’ homeland...a travelling show of troubadours coming soon to your town.
